Shot on location in Austin with the co-founder of Jason’s Deli, Rusty Coco. We created this piece to amplify Jason’s PR efforts around their new kids menu which reduced saturated fat, sodium, and calories while adding organics. Additionally all of their food is high fructose corn syrup free, MSG free, and artificial trans fat free. (more…)

This is a 3-D interactive ‘mission’ booth for LIVESTRONG. It illustrates the survivor care and advocacy activities of the foundation. Motion graphics play on flat panel displays which are integrated into the structure of the booth which communicate
s the ways in which people can join the fight or receive help from the foundation.
People are invited to use a number of custom stamps to create their own piece of ’cause art’ which they can hang on a series of strings that span between the two end caps of the booth. It is both an education and invitation for people who experience it and continues to be a very moving and invigorating experience for participants.

In 2006 we went to the Greenbuild International Conference and Expo to make a documentary. We wanted to explore how close America was getting to undergoing a green building revolution. We thought, why not ask the companies and people who it mattered to most. One of the quotes that really stuck with me from the trip was in response to our question, “If you had to re-name the green movement, what would you call it?” Deborah Snoonian, who was an editor at Plenty magazine at the time, said, “The second industrial revolution. We began producing Brand Films in 2002 on a project for Rudy’s BBQ. That work is still on our site. It was raw and real. It worked. Drove sales increases and, I think, still holds up seven years later. Rudy’s still runs it.
We didn’t know we were making “brand films” then. We were collapsing the strategic planning discipline with the creative development discipline out of necessity. We had just formed our shop and the budgets were small. It was just Marty and I, a Canon GL2, a 35mm still camera, going crazy on a road trip. We put the money into original music and post. In the end, we discovered a method of working that is very hands on and frankly we’ve never walked away from. We just gave it a name – Brand Film. (more…)

The first conference call is almost over but the project is just getting started. Brian Gourley (executive producer and passion player) + The Butler Bros. + Jeff Nichols + Scott Bomar + some of the most amazing musicians on the planet are getting together to make a movie. The piece will help tell the story of the Ponderosa Stomp before it’s too late…
Thanks to Jacob Blickenstaff for the shot.

Jason’s Deli is the first restaurant chain in America to pull off a very healthy hat trick: No MSG, no artificial trans fat and no High Fructose Corn Syrup. The viral announcement video we produced to amplify their PR efforts features Rusty Coco, co-owner and Executive Vice President. It helped Jason’s announcement get picked up in The USA Today, The Washington Post, and countless blogs. Congrats to Jason’s for well deserved coverage on a ground breaking initiative.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas needed a piece that would drive recruits for their program. The film we produced used stop motion photography (Beth Perkins) to highlight a day in the life of a “Big” and his “Little.” Ultimately the goal of the film was to lower the mental barriers potential “Bigs” might encounter while considering becoming involved.
