Jeff Nichols has been a friend of Butler Bros for a while now. A writer by trade, he has jumped in and helped out with some of our projects, such as the Sweet Leaf Tea website and the American Legacy video, to name a few. His talents have been greatly appreciated, and now, will be recognized in this year’s Austin Film Festival.
This film, Shotgun Stories, tracks a feud that erupts between two sets of half brothers, after their father passes away. Nichols’ southern, Arkansas-bred perspective helps add authenticity to this rural struggle, elevating this common story to that of an “epic tragedy.” Rustic, emotional, and pretty to look at. Definitely worth checking out. We support our friends. You should, too.
